In Singapore’s fast-paced economy, where the recession cycle seems to shorten with each passing year, I felt the pressure mounting. Competing for jobs with younger generations left me feeling disheartened and desperate, especially with the weight of newlywed responsibilities and mortgage payments on my shoulders.

Plunged into a state of depression, I withdrew from the world, refusing to see anyone.
